Identifying male Northern Broken Dashes

I have seen conflicting information about identifying male Northern
Broken Dashes (Wallengrenia egeremet). Jeffrey Glassberg in "Butterflies
through Binoculars" says the male usually has a tawny forewing margin. A
butterfly photo in his book labelled male Northern Broken Dash clearly
shows this feature. However Paul Opler's "Eastern Butterflies" does not
mention this feature for the male and is not illustrated in any drawings
of the species.
Which is correct? Does the butterfly have a tawny forewing margin or
not? Where is the best place to get definitive information about skipper
identification? There are a number of other very confusable skippers
that I would like to distinguish in my butterfly surveys in the field.
