Here in Suffolk we've also had a few Diamond Backed Moth (Plutella xylostella)
on three occasions in the last week as well as a single Silver-Y (Autographa
gamma). Previous to that I had recorded one in December 97.
We had a Green Hairstreak count on Tuesday 12/5/98 and counted around 200
individuals at one location. They generally seem to be having another good year
around the county.
Last Saturday proved quite a good night with Barred Hook-tip (Drepana cultraria)
and Sloe Carpet (Aleucis distinctata) turning up, both quiet local in Suffolk.
The best of the night was the several Orange Footman we had, previously known
from only one other location in Suffolk.
