I have been trying to find info on the mechanism of host preference by
Hyphantria cunea; Dave Edmark was kind to send suggestions on searches,
but I have been through every engine available on Dogpile, plus Northern
Lights, and all I get are very generic statements. It seems H. cunea is
very polyphagic, but in our local area of Keene, NH it has a high
preference for Black Cherry.

Once again, if anyone has a specific source for info on why or how H.
cunea chooses host trees, I would be most grateful.
