That's an excellent method. However, it's not practicable when you're
spending a couple of weeks in tents on the North Slope...  A very small
bottle of ethyl acetate can be carried anywhere--you can even get small
quantities on commercial airplanes, since it's just nail polish remover,
and small quantities of cosmetics are legal despite being flammable.
