While many of you out there have reported early observations for a couple
of months now, I have been occupied by skiing when being outdoor here at
63.5 degrees northern latitude.

But now things are changing to the better. On March 30 I observed the first
butterfly for the season, one specimen Aglais urticae basking in the
sunshine.

To day, April 4 I observed the first specimen of another hibernating
butterfly, Polygonia c-album. Also 3 specimens A. urticae were seen.

Goodbye winter.
