Lepidoptera and conservation

I'm writing to ask each member if your current work/hobby with butterflies
and moths involves any conservation measures. I suppose the best way to
judge this is if you see--or expect to see--evidence of tangible positive
effects (whether direct or indirect) on a habitat and/or population as a
result of your work.

I want to begin a project that depends on knowing about:
1) in general, any conservation-type work
2) more specifically, research involving butterflies or moths as
indicator/biosensor/keystone species

It's important to me to hear from everyone on the list who is doing such
work. Confidentiality is assured; I will only keep eddresses for getting
back in touch with certain people.

Thanks.

Jo
