Ken,
The NE Russia trip sounds extremely exotic. Please tell us what
you "discovered". Are there lots of new species lurking in remote north
temperate areas----or are the mostly widespread creatures that could be
found in eastern Europe (or even in northwestern North America).

At our NJ NABA meeting we had a photo presentation on
butterflies of eastern Turkey. What impressed me most is that there
were "English" names for virtually every species that the photographer
had and I had the sneaking suspicion that there might be some "sibling"
species masquereding as wide-spread species.
