Yes.  I saw one gulf fritillary (Agraulis vanillae incarnata) on the wing the
day before yesterday; although I don't remember exactly where,  I do know it was
here in the San Fernando Vallley.

By the way, that "blast" of Santa Ana wind is turning out to be a rather long
off-and-on series of blasts rather than one continuous blast.  Also, the
temperatures it is bringing are somewhat irregular.
