DNA and sorting things out

I agree with Anne, when we get this DNA thing sorted out, things will be 
different. But I'm not sure in what direction. DNA distances are sort of 
a license, and ignore the kinds of things that give most of us 
excitement and pleasure. 

To many of the gene jockies (somewhat a term of opprobrium) whole 
animals are confounders to be done away with.
