Hi all,
I'm having a bit of a problem nailing down an ID.... I collected what I THINK
is the Pima orange-tip, or pima ssp of desert orange-tip depending on which
reference I look at. The same day I collected what I'm sure is A. cethura,
and A. sara. Scott's "Butterflies of North America" makes a reference of A. c.
pima as being found in Az and west into S Cal, west of Yuma. I collected this
in South Central New Mexico, so I'm confused.
Adding to my wonderment,
The Audubon field guide lists A. pima as it's own species, and ranges it into
SW NM. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
