Well, I got into El Paso too late for day flying bugs - but was pleased to
see many moths flying to the city lights. Several underwing moth species -
which I always enjoy. I drove up in the Franklin mountains just to
familiarize myself with this area. This provides a rather spectacular view
of the El Paso/Juarez city lights. I can feel the humidity increasing as I
drive into Texas. I'm looking forward to a slightly more tropical climate.
The arid southwest has proven to be rather quiet as of late (except for the
bees and wasps).
In the morning, I'm headed for the Alps of Texas.
Mark Walker.
