At a cattail marsh in Wichita Kansas we are presently seeing a lot of 1 1/2
inch long caterpillars with 10 transverse orange bands.  The orange bands
have small pale bristles coming out of them.  They also have a wide black
mid-dorsal lengthwise stripe and fine black lengthwise stripes on each side.

All my references are failing me here.  What eats cattails?
