Cigars for all, Im a Dad. Just this morning I checked my cocoons and to my
surprise, emergence. the little critter is larina incarnata, (The spelling
has got to be wrong on this one). Its a striking little moth apparently found
only in the Tucson area. Its got a gloss black and bright red body, with
metallic blue wings. We found the larvae in the Catalina mountains in early
May. Total pupa time was only two weeks. Ive got several more so Ill be
watching closely. Fun stuff.
