Laura,

I hope I didn't offend you by posting the abstract of your study about
Bt corn pollen effects on monarch larvae to this list yesturday. If you
would like to comment further on the study the questions that came to my
mind as I was reading the abstract were:

1. Of the 19% of monarch larvae that died, was mortality limited to
milkweed leaf samples collected from milkweed growing just within the
corn field or did some larvae also die when fed leaf samples collected
from milkweed growing 3 meters (~ 10 feet) away from the edge of the
corn field?

2. Why were only first instar larvae tested?

Any other details which would help us undertand your study would be
appreciated. Thanks.
