Bill:
I live just down the road from you in Provo. I have found that of all the
flowering plants I have, the butterfly bush (purple type) attracts the most
butterflies. One Saturday I noticed a Monarch, Swallowtail, Admiral, and a
hummingbird nectaring on it. My plant is about 4 years old and I shape it
and cut it back in the spring to about 3 feet tall. It now is about eight
feet high. Another thing is that the bumble bees love it. But I am not
afraid of bees.
What a beautiful valley we live in!
Hope this helps,
Bruce
