Thanks, this only confirms my journal that shows that I had problems for about
a 30 period (late August-mid/late September). Obviously the heat and bacteria
friendly conditions are at their peak at this time in New Orleans. The number
of monarchs also increases rapidly. It seems that I will have to be even more
careful with my cleaning than usual. I should have an outdoor enclosure ready
for the caterpillars today. I think for this time of year, it will be the best
by providing a lot of fresh air to ventilate the holding space. I think what
are usually safe and easy to clean containers through the rest of the year,
actually become the culprit of the problem at this time of year with little
ventilation.
