giant swallowtail

I need some information please on P. cresphontes: 

How long for eggs to hatch?
How many instars? 
How long as a larvae?
In Mid-Michigan, 45 min. north of Detroit will the larvae now winterover or is
there another flytime?  
Do the larvae usually pupate on the host plant?

I have a giant laying eggs all over the common prickly ash on my property and
have collected a few eggs for observation.
