the morning the male splendens was hooked up with the luna, and the =
female splendens looked quite upset.Apparently the male splendens caught =
a wiff of the right pheromone,but grabbed the wrong girl.

This is a very unlikely cross. Since the two are sympatric it would =
have to be done by hand if it could even be done at all and I sincerely =
doubt the eggs would be fertile if it got that far. Even if it got to =
the point of fertile eggs there is still so much that can go wrong =
(genetically speaking). There is certainly no harm in trying (never say =
never) but I would not expect it to work. It sure would be an odd =
looking critter if it did though!
