This should help. Both publications will be in any large university library, and Nature will be in large public libraries as well. Summary: both Monarchs and Viceroys are unpalatable to most predators.

Ritland, D. B. 1995. Comparative unpalatability of mimetic viceroy butterflies (Limenitis archippus) from four south-eastern United States populations. Oecologia. 103(3): 327-336.

Ritland, D. B. and L. P. Brower. 1991. The viceroy butterfly is not a Batesian mimic. Nature. 350: 497-498.

I am posting this for Grace Gray, who is working on an article on mimickry in butterflies. Does anyone know of any articles or research papers re. the unpalatiblity of Viceroys? There have been a number of discussions on Mullerian, Batesian mimickry on this list, so I would assume someone out there could help.
