Collecting In the Huachucas

As someone who drives through the Coronado National
Memorial about 5-6 times a year on my way to Copper Canyon and the
backside of the Huachucas (in SE Arizona), let me comment on the recent
discussions. First, the Memorial ends about 20-40 yards away from the parking lot
(at the top of Montemuza Pass) where the event occurred. Second, the
Memorial is indeed poorly marked as being anything other than National
Forest land. Third, the road through the Memorial is the ONLY way to get to
the backside of the Huachucas from the South. As such, I expect the VAST
majority of traffic in the Memorial are individuals accessing the
Huachucas, rather than simply there to enjoy the Memorial. The rest room and
display at the parking lot at end of the memorial are nice and clear, and the
view great, but most traffic simply passes through.
Cheers
Bruce
