Canada and net waving

Chris Raper asked about my television show. It is a half hour series called
"Acorn, the Nature Nut," intended as a how-to for naturalists. I feature
insects in about a third of the episodes, while the others are devoted
largely to herps, but also birds, mammals, other organisms, and particular
locations. I take a casual, humourous approach, and each episode also
features an original song, related to the topic. The idea is to share my
enthusiasm for nature and inspire the viewers to an interest of their own,
not to proselytize too much about conservation, or to teach a lot of
biology.
The show has been in production on and off for five years, and we have
completed 91 episodes. Right now we are out of production, but we're hoping
for the go ahead to do more shows in the spring. In the mean time, I'm
working on book projects. Four years ago I was on the air in Britain (at
least I assume I was-- sometimes broadcasters buy shows and then never air
them), but they only picked the show up for one season. If you'd like to
