Have been getting some really creative and nifty phrases from a number of
folks. I will compile and share these in due course but there are
undoubtedly still more, lurking about in the corners of creative minds.
Bonus points for alliteration - current champeen is Ken Philip with no less
than 4 full letters in the combo "creek-creeping". Phrases not limited to
travel in the field but can also describe the activities of observation,
collection, searching etc eg. boulder-budging, yucca-yanking (kudos to Chris
Durden for these). Apologies to those who live in places where field time
is already possible; the rest of us northern types need to play with these
matters for a while longer :-)
