Early Butterfly Sighting

Dear listers,

Been a while since I contributed much -- been off doing a lot of
institutional lep work this winter. Just thought I'd throw in my early
*non-adult-overwintering butterfly* sighting (there's never a warmish
night anytime during the year when there aren't moths [7 species
Jan. 1] as well as adult hibernating butterflies on warm days).
Most impressive to me were the Colias sulphurs on as early as
Feb. 13 this year, certainly as early as I have ever seen them.
Since there were several warm days previous to that, I would
assume they were out even earlier.
