I believe the site you want is the USGS Northern Prairie Wildlife
Research Center "Moths of North America" web site coordinated by Paul A.
Opler.   It is incredible!   Follow the right path on this site and you
can get a "county" moth list that is very impressive [including id
photos and natural history information!], as I did for Santa Clara
County, California, included below!
