Hi Christopher:
We have this European catalogue, The Lepidoptera of Europe (Karsholt &
Razowski eds, 1996), and there you'll find the distribution:
All Scandinavian countries, all Baltic countries, GB (Not Ireland),
Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Poland, CZech and Slowak
republics, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Rumania and
former Soviet Union (no details there).
I donot know how far south in Italy and Spain, but it does occur there.
Hope this answers your question.
For more details: ask Sjaak Koster (Sjaak.Koster at wxs.nl
<mailto:Sjaak.Koster at wxs.nl> ).
Erik
I'm wondering about the extent of its distribution in Europe. I have
seen
records from Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands. Can you
expand
on its distribution? Do you know other areas where it has been
found? How
far south does it range? Has it been found in Great Britain
I'm writing a short paper on its discovery here in Nova Scotia and I
would
like to put the species in its proper context.
