Sydney Olympics ... & moths

Yeah quite a sight, all those moths at the athletics stadium! Probably
wouldn't be good collecting though because they're mostly bogong moths
(well according to the announcer). The bogong moth (Agrotis infusa) is an
Australian endemic famous for its annual migrations up into the mountains
to escape the hot dry summer, where the Aboriginal people would feast on
them. Endemic or not, it's also a pest species and common enough to be
ignored by most collectors...
