help wanted please

Is there a (sientific or latin) name for the transitionphase between larve
and buttrefly? (cocoon). Perhaps there is a latin verb for it. I think of
using it as a name for a huge project what will have to transform our
company in a lean an mean  firm. I was inspired by the "Acherontia Styx"
which has a very nice larve phase and also a nice moth as a result of the
morphing phase. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
