Add this thought to the earlier post:

Working here with US colleagues, I have access to the US postal services
here in Germany. It usually takes about 2-3 days for the mail to get here.
Monarch pupae would survive that period. If I would order here, from a
source in the States, what plant would they have been reared on?
And some people maybe would catch one, and start writing articles like - I
wonder if it would have gotten here ...
They would have come in on a jet(stream).
One from the US Air Force.
But there are other ways to order and have them brought over here, and
almost as fast.
