Started to send some notes to Discount bookstores, but felt they
probably wouldn't use it so this is a warning if you are looking for a
world BF reference book.

The book is primarily an introduction to butterflies, parts, mimicry,
life cycle, behavior etc. etc. 6 x 9 x 1/2 in. --mostly illustrations
to make their points.

While the 2 owls were accurate, it has the only field photo I've seen
of Myscelus amystis, and they did have the h, often missed in
charithonia (Zebra) would definitely recommend to not rely on their IDs.

Not only was the Malachite (Siproeta stelenes) box mixed with the Lady,
the Lady not American (V. carye/virginiensis) as noted. There were
several other ID errors in the neotropic species which which I have some
acquaintance-- obviously not a Southern Dogface (Z. colias) as was a
white w/heavy veining, the Banner was not edocla w/v. green banding but
large area of white - probably P. otalis, The cracker is obviously
Red-H. amphionome w/DHW blue teardrops, not ferentina, and a number of
other errors or questionables....

Hopefully D'Abreras BF of world out soon--in meantime use Lewis and
Smart books.

				Cheers, Wanda
