Callophrys eryphon

If memory serves, this butterfly species can also be found lurking under the
genus names of Incisalia or Deciduphagus; depending on the usual range of
taxonomic interpretations. Anyway, in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada I
have detected some interesting phenotypic variation in the color of the
ventral hindwing which I do not recall seeing in any literature. I have no
explanation for this but feel compelled to share some images of this
