"The problem with the softcover reprint from Dover is that the photo
reproduction of the plates is virtually unusable for identification
purposes.  Since I have both editions, I can speak from experience."
 
I've got the Dover book... You know, everyone told me that it was a great
book with really good pictures - but that never made any sense to me - the
pictures in mine were awfull!  You say the original printing of the book is
much better....  Which printing is the best one - it seems to have been
reprinted several times?
