Painted Lady in Ontario

Saw my first Painted Lady, Vanessa cardui of the year today in Toronto,
Ontario, a well worn individual nectaring on Alfalfa. Also about 20 V.
atalanta and 2 V. virginiensis, many also nectaring on Alfalfa. Red admirals
are still ubiquitous, but virginiensis have dropped off a bit now from the
numbers in May.
