Irish/Canadian butterflies

W. Kirby published some descriptions of Canadian butterflies way back in
1837. There are some aspects of his descriptions that I am investigating and
it would really be helpful to access the type specimens if they still exist.
A colleague has suggested that Kirby's butterflies may be in the collection
of the Royal Irish Society in Dublin. I would welcome dialogue with anyone
who could help me locate Kirby's butterflies and suggest how to get some
color images if they do still exist somewhere. Thank you.
