Phyciodes lectotype

North American Phyciodes buffs may be interested in a color image of the
taxon Phyciodes pascoensis (type locality Pasco, Washington). Image at

image. Anyone looking for a worhwhile project is encouraged to make color
holotype, lectotype, neotype butterfly specimen images available on the web.
This would support research since it seems that museum staff have no time to
answer questions about their type holdings and also help protect the
environment by reducing the need for people to pollute the atmosphere by
traveling to and from the actual specimens.
