Larry-I would really like to have your micro records to add to the California moth database. I need species, location, county, date, collector, where deposited, who identified it and special notes. I show the following species from California: molybdina from Alameda, monticella from Marin, and opulenta from LA, Siskiyou and Solano. Any additions you have would be welcome. Also, I will check the Powell list of micros to see if any others are listed within the state, and will get back to you tomorrow about that. It is in a different location.

In Monterey County on the coast of Central Calififornia, I've reared a species of Cosmopterix (montisella?) which mines several native grasses-Bromus vulgaris, Bromus laevipes,Bromus grandis, Agrostis halli, Agrostis pallens and Elymus glaucus. In addition, I've reared Cosmopterix opulenta from Artemisia douglasiana. Does anyone know of any records of other Cosmopterix from this county? Larry Turner
