Painted Lady Migration

I live in Riverside, CA (about 2 hours north of San Diego and an hour 
southeast of Los Angeles) and we are being over run with Painted Ladies.  
There was an article in our local paper giving information about the Painted 
Lady.  We have seen large numbers of them, one every 15 seconds, starting 
about a month ago and now their numbers are starting to dwindle a little.  I 
only see one every couple of minutes.  I have also noticed dead ones on the 
sidewalks and roads.
