Seems you are not the only one to collect late flying Nymphalis califorinca.
I have collected 3 specimens over the last month. One specimen from Burnaby
September 14,2001 and two more specimens from Richmond October 4,2001. Also
saw two others on the wing October 14,2001 from Tsawwassen B.C. It seems
it's a good year for these as many years can go by without seeing any in
this area.
