Very well stated Ron. I guess the scientists and Jeff Glassberg have the
power to push for endangered species status and all the delays, pricey
payoffs to the civil servants and scientists that go with
it or they can choose to work with the volunteer Miami Blue Restoration
Project Team and focus immediate efforts on host plant restoration. The
latter course would seem to assure that the butterfly gains a quick, direct
benefit for each dollar spent.
