This is temporary forest fire damage Neil and mostly on the north
slope where the butterflies do not form their clusters. The monarch
colony is still doing fine on that mountain on the southwest slope.
according to Eligio Garcia. Eligio is the top Mexican biologist in charge
of monitoring the butterfly colonies.

Again temporary forest fire damage and on the north slopes well
away from the butterfly colonies.
