How appropriate that you should appear at just this moment after such a long
absence. I was just about to tell everyone about _my_ new personal website.:-)
I hope with your interest in collecting internet domain names you will like it.

<grin>

My mention of your having written the Internet Declaration of Independence
was to give some indication of how your mind worked.
Most people would think it rather strange. Personally I don't think you have
your feet on the ground.

It seems to me that you are intent of achieving godhood through
butterflies and in the process have made us all look ridiculous.

If anyone wonders why I am being so hard on Mr. Schnauber perhaps I should
explain. I have been a lepidopterist since early childhood. Anyone who has grown up
a lepidopterist will know the phenomenon I am about to describe. It applies
to all our varieties whether watchers, collectors etc.

All of us who are keen on lepidoptera will have encountered the phenomenon where
people regard us as a bit odd or even worse. Here in the UK we have
the Glanville Fritillary (Mellitea cinxia) which is named after Lady Glanville,
She is celebrated because after her death some of her relatives contested her
will on the grounds that her interest in butterflies was clear proof of
insanity. (They did loose!)

Now back to Mr. Schnauber. His business activities have attracted international
media publicity. Firstly he formed the so called "International Federation
of Butterfly Enthusiasts". The ludicrous grandiosity of the name speaks volumes
to me. Then using this ridiculous IFBE name he proceeded to get involved in a
series of high profile legal battles. He registered over a hundred internet
names which were properly the property of established household names, for
example www.timewarner.org and www.postal-service.com (puts a whole new
meaning on "going postal" :-) ) He proclaimed that he was doing it all for the
butterflies. Soon the whole world knew of this "butterfly guy" who, as one
Italian publication put it, had a "bizzare personality".

Anyone who thought people who studied butterflies were odd to start with had
their suspicions confirmed.

Anyway since Mr Schnauber has been so "successful" I am announcing the
formation of my own organisation . The Pan-galactic Association of Lepidoptera
Specialists. Only my PALS will be allowed to join. I have to stop now
as there are some men in white coats knocking on my door! :-)
