Sean,

Assuming you will be in central or southern Florida where "true" dark L.
archippus floridensis is found, the flight period is generally Feb-Dec, most
common March-May, July-October. It can be found where there are stands of
willows, the hostplant.  It is never really abundant anywhere, but several
adults can usually be found if there is much willow in the area.  Look near
rivers, lakes and drainage ditches.
