I am a listmember who is usually too caught up in the daily maelstrom 
to be able to spend time commenting. But I  enjoy the watching the 
ongoing Leps-l discussion when I can, and I find it encouraging that 
some interesting and complex issues often find a workable resolution 
in this medium. Ron Gatrelle is quite honest about his intentions in 
stirring and spicing the pot, and I think that the resulting stew is 
usually the better for it.

On the other hand, I think that personal attacks and rhetoric of the 
kind that Neil Davies has just sent out is just not very productive. 
In fact, it is accomplishing the opposite of what Neil says he is 
aiming for.
