Ducks Unlimited recently commissioned a major study
conducted by Responsive
Management, a research firm specializing in public
attitudes toward natural
resources and the outdoors, to examine Americans' attitudes
and knowledge of
the environment.

The study indicates that while Americans value natural
resources and embrace
outdoor activities, they are unsure how to support
environmental causes.

Most Americans are outdoors enthusiasts and participate in
outdoor
activities. However, the vast majority say they are not
members of nor
contribute to organizations that protect and conserve our
natural resources.
And large percentages of Americans say they don't know
enough to rate the
health of natural resources like forests, wetlands, and
grasslands.
