By the way, since Mike feels common names for subspecies are a waste I am
sure he has (or will) contacted  naba about the following subspecies common
names - so they can get rid of them per his view.  And while he is at it, I
hope he finds out what the logic is in, and criteria for, listing only
about 15% of the subspecies and omitting the others.   He might also try to
find out why their scientific names are so messed up and out of step with
the latest taxonomic research.  (More comments at end of list.)

matters not to me.  It does matter when I seen hypocrisy - which is all
that Mikes post is.
