Just though I would forward this E-mail I just received from Leroy. I
think it is very interesting that people and/or government does not want us
collecting leps but wants our records if we do.

> I just learned of another incident on the Sugar Ridge. David Fine of
Delray Beach was operating bait traps along the Sugar Ridge at the Port
Mayaca Locks in Martin County. He was collecting moths and any stray or
unusual butterflies that would come along. It just so happened that Alana
Edwards visited the area and found one of Dave's Bait Traps in the same tree
where the first incident occurred. Evidently, Martin County acquired the
wooded area along the ridge at Port Mayaca and Alana went to one of her
friends in the Martin County government. The property was promptly posted as
"environmentally sensitive" and they removed his traps. Because the property
was not posted prior to finding his traps, they were required to return them
to him.

> I will give her credit, she did it correctly, although she did have some
influence over some one. Of course Martin County would like Dave's records,
but they also refuse to meet with him or provide him with a permit.
>
> I guess the area is environmentally sensitive alright. I hope they remove
all the old tires, appliances, and junk in the woods, as well as all those
condoms hanging from the bushes. As I said, it was always a great f______g
spot!
