Help with caterpillar i.d.

Obtained the following a week ago in Western Maryland.  The spots suggest a
buck moth, but the small orange spots on each segment lead me to doubt that.
Was hoping someone could help with the i.d.  To view the specimen, go to

section (it's the only photo there - labeled as "Unknown caterpillar").
