Since Harry is not subscirbed here, I forward this.  While I'm at it I'll
plug Leps-talk (once more :-).  So far this month (January 03) we have had
38 posts to the group.  In Dec. 02 there were 327 posts.  If not subscribed
to that list, you are missing some good stuff.  A couple of recent threads
are on *Hermeuptychia hermes*, *Hermeuptychia sosybia* and *Hermeuptychia
hermes kappeli*.  John Calhoun posted the OD of *kappeli* in the groups
files section.  (one needs a Yahoo ID to access that file.)  Also some
items in the Opler / Warren list. To subscribe go to

All:

I'm happy to announce that the TILS board has grown to four members.
I would like to welcome Ken Davenport aboard, who now joins myself, Ron
Gatrelle and Norbert Kondla.  Ken brings along his years of experience in
the field of "lepidopterology" as a valued addition to TILS.

2003 is looking up to being a promising year.  Our efforts with butterfly
common and latin names continues.  The TC-ISBN is being worked (quite
feverishly) behind the scenes and hopefully we will have the first official
"edition" available by year's end.  The Taxonomic Report already has one
paper nearing completion for Vol. 4, and several either in work or on the
drawing boards.  We are also planning on reviving TILS News and invite
anyone with interesting topics to contact any of the Board members.  TILS
News issues are posted to the TILS website, thus available via the
worldwide
web.
