Collecting sites in NC?

Hey folks,

I'm planning to be in North Carolina....near Raleigh...next week and 
I was hoping to collect some Red-Spotted Purples (Limenitis arthemis 
astyanax).

Does anyone know of good localities...legal places to collect being 
my main priority....that I might try?  I'm willing to drive quite a 
ways to reach a good spot.  Thanks.
