Hi Daniel
This is indeed an unusual skipper - in fact - it is a moth - which in my
mind are much more beautiful and much more interesting than those little
grass skippers !
It is Schinia jaguarina - one of the Flower Moths in the family Heliothinae.
You have one of the North American experts on this family living right there
in Colorado with you, a guy by the name of Chuck Harp.
