OscarTheGroutch asked for the id of the caterpillar pictures I
posted. It is the Canadian Owlet moth, Calyptris canadensis. I
thought it had been posted to the group but I guess the replies
were to me. I see this moth in the newly re-issued "Moths of
Eastern North America" by Charles V. Covell, Jr. which I bought
last year. It should would be nice to have an index of the food
plants listed in that book.
Here's another picture of a moth, this time the adult. I have no
idea what it is but haven't really investiaged it yet.
